Member Spotlight: Samantha Gould
I have been in the marketing industry for 27 years, starting off at the very bottom as a marketing assistant, and studying part-time to get my marketing qualifications. Over the years I have been able to witness the marketing industry change with the internet and digital marketing being introduced into the mix and adapting strategies from traditional marketing to include digital marketing.
I have been lucky and worked in all different industries as a Marketing Manager for some great companies, which have all taught me valuable skills in my time with them. After being made redundant for the third time in my career I decided it was time to start my own business. I have been managing my own business now for seven years, I started off offering only digital marketing services but saw a need for a lot of our clients that they needed more direction and actual strategic marketing planning for their businesses.
We now offer full marketing services traditional and digital to our customers as well as creating strategic marketing plans and social media strategies. I love helping businesses grow and teaching them how to market themselves. There is nothing more rewarding than being a part of a client’s journey.
I love being a member of Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), being part of a wider community of like-minded people that deal with similar situations in day-to-day work life. It’s a great chance to connect and network with new people.
One of the main reasons I joined AMI was to make sure I was keeping my skills and knowledge up to date, they have some great courses and online webinars to offer throughout the year. This keeps my finger on the pulse, and I know that I am providing the most up to date information and services to my clients.
I have only been a member for a short time, but the team at AMI have been very welcoming and helpful. When I applied for my Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) I found the process really user friendly and it was great to recognised for 27 years or work in the industry. I feel the membership offers a range of services to suit my needs. I look forward to being part of the AMI family.
